Mission and Vision

Mission

The faculty in the Department of Child and Family Studies is committed to educating highly trained professionals to work with children, adolescents, and families. Through our undergraduate and graduate programs, we foster a culturally diverse and educationally challenging environment in which students acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills about child and family development.

Vision

The Department of Child and Family Studies will be a recognized center for applied learning that advances theory, research, and practice in fields related to children and families.
