Overview

Welcome to the College of Human Ecology. We invite you to learn about our undergraduate programs in Child and Family Studies, Health and Wellness, Hospitality and Food Service Management, Nutrition Science and Dietetics, Social Work, and Sport Management, and discover the opportunities an education from our college can provide.

We offer our students a unique educational experience. Here are some of the reasons why students from around the world choose to enroll in one of our degree programs:

  • A small college atmosphere combined with large university resources provides student with an optimal undergraduate experience.
  • Small class sizes allow students to establish strong relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students.
  • Extensive field placement and internship experiences, which are incorporated into the academic programs and begin as early as the freshman year, allow students to gain valuable hands-on experience.
  • Opportunities to sample courses from across the University allow students to pursue an interdisciplinary course of study and enhance their academic program.
  • The education and training students receive in the college prepares them for diverse employment opportunities in a growing field. Careers in the helping professions are expected to grow through the year 2008.
  • An interprofessional approach to health and human service education, research, and practice allows students to expand and strengthen their knowledge and skill.
