Giving
Since its founding in 2001, the College of Human Ecology has enjoyed incredible support from its alumni and friends--support that has allowed the college to become the growing, thriving institution it is today.
As we move forward with excitement, your support continues to be an invaluable part of our success.
Why to Give Reasons for giving are different for each donor. Some give to strengthen the college's academic and physical resources. Others give in appreciation for SU's contribution to their lives. When their employers will match their gift, donors enjoy having that extra impact on the college. Through giving, most donors can take advantage of tax saving and estate planning opportunities. Yet others give to participate in the life of the college through donor recognition benefits and events.
Where to Give Gifts that support the college's academic programs ensure a high level of learning excellence. Endowment funds support professorships, chairs, symposia, lecture series, and visiting scholars that provide a stimulating intellectual atmosphere. Outright gifts for curriculum development, updated facilities, and new technologies help create an optimal learning environment. Corporate and foundation gifts support faculty research and knowledge advancement, and enable students to work with some of the country's finest scholars. Unrestricted gifts to a program's discretionary fund provide flexible support for a variety of academic initiatives.
How to Give College staff are available to discuss ways for you to include the College of Human Ecology in your annual giving or long term philanthropic plans. Contact David Salanger, Assistant Dean for Advancement, at 315-443-4588.
