SWK Faculty Present at International Gerontology-Geriatrics Congress in Paris

School of Social Work director, Carrie Jefferson Smith, and professor of social work, Deb Monahan, presented at the XIXth IAGG World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics in Paris France, July 5-9, 2009. Rachel Greene, a SU senior majoring in psychology, co-authored the poster with Jefferson Smith and Monahan (Monahan and Greene are pictured here). The theme of this year's conference was: Longevity, Health and Wealth. Their poster session was entitled, "Kinship Caregivers: Does Health Interfere with Caregiving?” The purpose of the presentation was to examine the consequences of kinship care on the health of caregivers.
