College Research Center

Welcome to the College of

Human Ecology Research Center

The College of Human Ecology Research Center is a college-wide collaboration where diverse and interdisciplinary research is conducted to advance knowledge and apply that knowledge to useful ends in our community. The areas of expertise include such fields as child and family studies, public health and wellness, hospitality management, marriage and family therapy, nutrition science and dietetics, social work and sport management.

The central focus of the Center is to support the research efforts of our College faculty and students by identifying funding sources to support grant activities, assisting faculty and students in the development and submission of external grant and award applications, and providing seed grant support to faculty to conduct early studies that eventually develop into grant proposals to external funding agencies.

In addition, the Research Center provides opportunities for scholarly discussion on important research topics through support of a research seminar series that occurs every semester.
