Important Information for Transfer Students

Each semester, the College of Human Ecology welcomes transfer students from accredited two- and four-year colleges who wish to complete their education at Syracuse University. If you are interested in transferring to Syracuse University, contact us at 315-443-5555 or HumanEcology@syr.edu for an unofficial credit assessment and detailed information about the college's programs.

How to Apply

You can apply online to Syracuse University. You may also submit the Common Application and the Syracuse University Common Application Supplement electronically through Next Stop College, or download the application and instructions. To obtain a paper copy of the application, contact the Office of University Admissions at 315-443-3611 or orange@syr.edu.

Deadlines

Applications for fall admission should be submitted by January 1, but will be accepted on a space-available basis after that date. Applications for spring admission must be submitted by November 15.

Transfer Credit

The number of credits transferable from your prior institution(s) of study will determine your academic standing at Syracuse University as well as the length of time required for you to finish the program into which you are transferring. Generally, transfer credit is granted for three-credit courses in which you have earned a grade of C (2.0) or better.
